I am a Ph.D. student in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
My research lies at the intersection of culture and economic sociology. I am broadly interested in how individuals negotiate their relationship to capitalism.
As a committed educator, I also maintain a line of research that focuses on how undergraduates, particularly form marginalized backgrounds, navigate higher education.
I hold an M.A. in the social sciences with a concentration in sociology from The University of Chicago as well as a B.A. in sociology and creative writing from Northwestern University.
Prior to pursuing a Ph.D., I worked in Los Angeles as a filmmaker and video editor.
